The big screen experience has inspired hundreds of British film makers in the past.

If we are to maintain our rich tradition of original British film in the future, it's essential that cinemas don't price aspiring creators out of the market.

There's lots of great films out right now - The History Boys, the Queen and a staggering fifteen new British films at the 50th London film festival next week - but unless we're careful the mix might not be as rich when the festival reaches its 60th anniversary.
